Brewing Beer in the Danish Stone Age (subtitles) Ølbrygning i Stenalderen, Sagnlandet
I samarbejde med forskere fra Nationalmuseet og Aarhus Universitet udføres et spændende projekt i Sagnlandet: Brygning af øl i kopier af 5000 år gamle lerkar fra stenalderen.
Formålet med forsøget er bl.a. at påvise, om stenalderfolket kendte til ølbrygningens kunst.
In collaboration with researchers from the National Museum and Aarhus University, Denmark, an exciting project is being carried out at Sagnlandet: Brewing beer in copies of 5000-year-old clay vessels from the Stone Age. The purpose of the experiment is, among other things, to demonstrate whether the people of the Stone Age, knew the art of beer brewing.

Jernudvinding udført på jernaldervis i Sagnlandet Lejre af Jens Jørgen Olesen med hjælp fra landsbyens folk. Iron extraction at the Iron Age Village, Sagnlandet Lejre (Land of Legends). Bog iron ore is put into the furnace together with charcoal. The red molten slag flowing from the oven is not iron. The iron clump is removed from the furnace last in the proces.

    I Norge, Lofoten gravde nordiske arkeologer i 1980-årene ut et 83 meter langt hus (700 kvadratmeter), det største huset vi kjenner fra vikingtiden i skandinavia.

    Mind you that these People who did these textiles also had to basically kill a chicken, clean it, cook it and wash dishes afterwards, and that did not include taking care of the livestock, the garden etc. How in the world, these women and men survived is plain heroic to me! Kudos for these artisans who are keeping up with the crafts of their heritage, their culture. : )

    We also know the strongest rope they had a1000 years ago was made from whaleruss hide. Those modern ropes they used in the film was not available for the dolmenbuilders.

    Just visited the fine old viking capital of Aros, mainland jutland, the home of Harold Bluetooth and all the other viking kings. Impressive how denmark developed from 700-1200ad, before treasury and government were moved out in the distant Island of Copenhagen.

    A real historically honest masterpiece. Very long ago the qualities put into the dress was appreciated as fine by people exactly as we do. We are in some ways Very like the people who walked out of the first cave. In this, dressing so fine a love for all time, quite fully the same inside.

    Build in 3 years with all of the modern machinery and safety gear. How long would it have taken in the Viking age, logging the trees, hauling with ox carriages, hand crafting the all the pictures, hoisting the logs and no scaffolding. I’d love to see a computerized model to comparison. 🇩🇰👍😎

      @@daos3300 What connects us most is our genetics. Creativity and such are intellectual values and do not connect people. Intellectual values are volatile and can bring people to exchange thoughts for a limited period of time. That does not mean, they are inherently connected. All strong connections are tribal, biological in nature, a matter of genetical inheritance.

    Was thinking about them pulling the stone with the rope. If you get a long stick and jabb a pointy end it in to the ground to get friction. then tie two ropes to it one from the stone to the middle of the stick, and one from the top of the stick to an ox or several men, it should be able to pull the stone more easy. I might be wrong on it, but i dont got the money or friends to do an experiment on it. but teoreticly it should work, just as an long stick can be used to lift a heavy stone.
